Jackfruit is a popular tropical fruit native to Southeast Asia, including Cambodia. This variety originates from Cambodia and is commonly referred to as “Cambodian Jackfruit.” It is known as an all-season fruit with orangish-red flakes and an average fruit weight of around 8–12 kg.

The Cambodian jackfruit was introduced to India by Mr. Joshi from Erattupetta, Kerala, an avid traveler who discovered this variety in a Cambodian local market. He collected seeds and brought them to India, later developing saplings through budding and cultivation at his Hillview plantation and nursery.
