The plant has no frost tolerance but adapts well to a variety of soil types. It grows best in full sun with well-draining soil. Regular irrigation is required during the establishment phase, though it shows better drought tolerance compared to standard jaboticaba varieties. The fruit is usually eaten fresh by sucking the pulp, while the rind and seeds are discarded. The fruit spoils and dehydrates quickly once harvested.
